Matthew + Leanne : Hertford Country House

The Hertford Country House near Johannesburg is a quaint and beautifully set venue with a distinctive old-world, charming country feel. Matthew and Leanne were looking forward to a warm, sunny spring afternoon, but were instead greeting by the most atrocious cold front of the year. But, true to form, it did nothing to dampen their spirits, and we managed to make some magical memories of their very special day.

The Hertford Country Hotel near the Lanseria Airport in Johannesburg is a quaint and beautifully set venue with a distinctive old-world, charming country feel. Matthew and Leanne were looking forward to a warm, sunny spring afternoon, but were instead greeted by the most ferocious cold front of the year. Heavy rain and icy winds all day! Philippa + Ricus | Rosemary Hill

Philippa & Ricus tied the knot at the always-awesome Rosemary Hill near Pretoria. The masterfully tended greenhouse tends to hold the late afternoon light so beautifully that it's hard to shoot anywhere else! The spring feeling in the air was tangible all day and made for a memorable couple shoot in amongst the pastel hues of the gum trees.

Tanya + Ryan's Wedding : Pringle Bay

Tanya & Ryan astutely decided to keep things real, fiscally logical and pretty much awesome when they tied the knot in the incredibly scenic and dramatic Pringle Bay, a retro coastal retreat between Cape Town and Hermanus.

Tanya & Ryan astutely decided to keep things real, fiscally logical and pretty much awesome when they tied the knot in the incredibly scenic and dramatic Pringle Bay, a retro coastal retreat between Cape Town and Hermanus. As luck would have it, their special day coincided with a powerful frontal system that totally lashed the coast, and we were sharply reminded as to why it's historically known as the Cape of Storms. Despite the inclement weather, and thundering seas, the ceremony, reception and our little couple session were all filled wth heartfelt and magical moments. They held their intimate ceremony and reception at Bistro 365, which was simply superb. From the atmosphere, to the log fire and the superb culinary experience, it is well worth a re-visit in the near future. Just in case you're wondering, it was way colder than what it looked!

I was privileged enough to collaborate with two great gals at the Cape Royal Yacht Club.

Gemma & Colin

Gemma & Colin hail from England and Zimbabwe respectively, but somehow met in Zambia, where they both live and work. Their extraordinary story culminated in a marvellous celebration of their love at the stunning Mosaic Sanctuary near Stanford.
