Sarah and Adam are both from Cape Town, but chose to tie the knot in the beautiful Hemel En Aarde valley near the famous whale watching town of Hermanus. The views over the valley are nothing short of breathtaking, and their special day was not surprisingly, similar. The decor, flowers and wedding cake were all class, and definitely something to write home about, as was the delicious spread that started with mouthwatering canapés.

Yzerfontein - Strandkombuis

These days it's a rarity and a delight to be invited to attend a wedding as a guest, rather than as the official photographer.

These days it's a rare delight to be invited to attend a wedding as a guest, rather than as the official photographer. As it turned out, my first cousin surprised us with her wonderful beach wedding at Strandkombuis, a quaint and rustic coastal venue near Yzerfontein, on the West Coast. With summer fast drawing to a close, it was a near perfect, breathless autumn day on the beach, and we had a fantastic time with family and old acquaintances. I must admit that it was difficult for me to avoid taking pictures, so when I got the chance, I zapped a few of the exquisite surroundings and a few of my close family. My ever stylish brother and my ultra-cool sister-in-law were up for a few shots between ceremony and reception... and I really could not help myself! I hope that you enjoy viewing them as much as I did taking them.

I was privileged enough to collaborate with two great gals at the Cape Royal Yacht Club.

Gemma & Colin

Gemma & Colin hail from England and Zimbabwe respectively, but somehow met in Zambia, where they both live and work. Their extraordinary story culminated in a marvellous celebration of their love at the stunning Mosaic Sanctuary near Stanford.

Jen & Richard

A superb spring weekend wedding celebration in the tranquil coastal town of Paternoster...
